Dec 26, 2021 Hope when Life is Messy

PRAYER:  The Angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph and said “… do not be afraid…”, to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:  “Behold the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel, which means ‘God is with us’”.  God IS with us! Let’s live our lives with that joyous realization:  “God IS with us!”….. let’s continue to reach out and encourage and attract those around us to the Love of the Lord!

PARISH MAINTENANCE:  We have installed the correct smoke detectors that “connect” with each other in the rectory and we are hanging all the fire extinguishers on walls in preparation for hopefully hosting short-term some Afghan refugees.  We are waiting for final ok from the Chicopee Building Department.

PARISH ONGOING MISSION/EVANGELIZATION/GROWTH:  We are distributing a free book to everyone at our Christmas masses (just as we did at our Easter 2021 masses with I Heard God Laugh about prayer).  We will give out:  Life is Messy by Matthew Kelly.  Matthew is a New York Times bestselling author and the Founder of Dynamic Catholic.  He is an enthusiastic explainer of our Catholic Faith to our times.

“This book is about putting our lives back together, and allowing ourselves to be put back together, when life doesn’t turn out as we expected it to…. Can someone who has been broken be healed and become more beautiful and more lovable than ever before?  The answer will fill you with hope.”

Merry Christmas and Feast of the Holy Family!
